A Academy of Science Fiction Fantasy and Horror Movies organizou mais uma edição dos ‘Saturn Awards’, que visam premiar o que de melhor se fez no ano anterior em termos de ficção científica, quer na televisão, quer no cinema. Assim, numa cerimónia que ocorreu durante esta semana, os principais vencedores foram “Fringe”, que venceu o prémio para melhor série, bem como a sua protagonista – Anna Torv – foi reconhecida como melhor atriz; mas também “Breaking Bad”, que foi premiada como série de cabo, bem como vários elementos do elenco reconhecidos.
Relativamente aos filmes, foram vários os vencedores, nomeadamente “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” como melhor filme de ficção científica, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” como melhor filme de fantasia, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” foi reconhecida na área de thrillers e, por fim, o filme protagonizado por Tom Cruise – “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” – recebeu o prémio para melhor filme de ação.
