A MTV acabou de anunciar, através do seu canal no Snapchat Discover, os nomeados para as várias categorias dos MTV EMA 2015. Taylor Swift lidera a corrida, com um total recorde de 9 nomeações, incluindo 3 indicações para o seu hit global Bad Blood, para Melhor Música, Melhor Vídeo e Melhor Colaboração, pelo seu trabalho com Kendrick Lamar. A cerimónia dos MTV EMA 2015 terá lugar no Mediolanum Forum, em Milão, Itália, no próximo dia 25 de outubro, domingo, com transmissão em direto na MTV Portugal a partir das 19h00.
Justin Bieber está também nomeado para 6 prémios, fruto do sucesso da sua música mais recente, What Do You Mean?. Nicki Minaj e Miley Cyrus vão enfrentar-se na categoria de Melhor Artista Feminina, enquanto as boy bands One Direction e 5 Seconds of Summer lutam pelas categorias de Melhor Artista Pop e Maiores Fãs (lista completa de nomeados em baixo).
Depois de uma semana de votações através do Twitter, Richie Campbell foi o artista eleito pelos fãs portugueses para se juntar aos nomeados já anteriormente anunciados para a categoria de Best Portuguese Act: Agir, Carlão, Carolina Deslandes e D.A.M.A. Os 5 nomeados estão agora em votação, até ao próximo dia 14 de outubro, às 23h59, e os portugueses têm o poder de decidir quem será eleito Best Portuguese Act dos MTV EMA 2015.
A partir de hoje, os fãs podem também votar nos seus artistas preferidos para as restantes categorias dos MTV EMA 2015, em mtvema.com. As votações estarão abertas até ao próximo dia 24 de outubro, às 23h59.
À semelhança de anos anteriores, os MTV EMA 2015 apresentam uma categoria de votação através das redes sociais. Também a partir de hoje, os fãs de todo o mundo podem votar nos 5 nomeados para a categoria de Maiores Fãs, através do Twitter, Instagram ou Vine, usando a hashtag #EMABiggestFans seguida da hashtag de cada artista:
